In the real world in which we live, we should always be ready and willing to exercise our economic , political and military muscle, individually or in tandem if necessary, to safeguard our vital interests.

It is a very real threat. our nation's banking our defence systems all of our communications everything is internet based now. We do need to act now to prevent this type of attack but it does not come without a pricetag. What will happen when in the future there is a crisis but with today's horrific wasteful spending the resources are not there and the prospects of borrowing slow or go completely away. How protected are we all then.

You bet the threat is real. On the other hand we're doing the same things to other Countries. We teamed up with Israel and hit the Iranians where it hurts. I do not think we alone are as vulnerable as this article would have you believe. Cyber espionage or outright warfare can go only so far, trigger a couple of EMP's and EVERYBODY everywhere is back to pencils and paper.

Our government certainly isn't going to announce any cyber attacks, nor how they would stop it. It would show our hand to the Chinese. The appropriate response is to remain silent on the issue and plug any security gaps.

I'd bet the military is also having fun feeding the Chinese phoney secrets. We should toy with them like a cat with a mouse.

This is just fear mongering a very obviously and widely accepted theory. This isn't exactly news.

And Bob, I wouldn't trust Israel as well as they'd have you want them to.

swizzer, is every thing that doesn't paint a rosy picture fear mongering???? You should really take off those glasses prescribed by the anointed one and look around at the real world. Either that or your head is deep in somewhere that the sun don't shine.
