Do you need instructions for that too? Maybe a government flier on computer techniques? Lets spend billions of taxpayer dollars to get you up to speed on the copy and paste issue... call Obama, but he likely does not know anything about it, maybe it is GWB's fault for not publishing an internet guide for liberals?

usedtolivethere "what about the lemming Repubs? Or do they follow out of intelligence?" You still worship a failed president Obama and you dare call us Lemmings? Must be on the talking points here somewhere, unless they were thrown out with all the real informative points?

Drugs, You can think what ever you want. I know what the political calander says because I have a copy of that and I have read it manytimes. But because your to lazy to get one and read it or is it the fact that you can not read. Your just one sick jerk that thinks you know everything and that the world must revolve around you. Well the world does not revolve around just you.

thank you BillLair for that explanation. It is as I said, absentee ballots are harder to come by than merely dropping by to pick one up.

Below are listed the qualifications required for voting by absentee ballot in NYS. I don't see wanting to participate in early voting provided as a qualification.

"Absent from your county or, if a resident of New York City absent from said city, on Election Day. Unable to appear at the polls due to temporary or permanent illness or disability; or because you are the primary care giver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled. A patient or inmate in a Veterans' Administration Hospital." Detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or confined in prison after conviction for an offense other than a felony."

and why would anyone who can't afford to leave their home ever get an absentee ballot when they plan on going to the polls. Your reasoning, topper, is not, as drugman would have it, funny

Aren't absentee ballots an option in Florida? You can read over the propositions at your own pace in the comfort of your house, trailer or condo while you enjoy a cool glass of prune juice. Just be careful not to spill any on your white pants or on the ballot.

Ron, if absentee ballots are so readily available, why is this not used more by both parties to get more people to turn out ?? Especially the Dems who rely on and live for those "low information" voters who follow like sheep.

But you self-servingly label poor people as lazy. One brush covers all. This attitude sickens me.

Bobbie, let me straighten you out. I live in Florida and I'm making nothing up. The Republican controlled legislature cut way back on early voting ours as well as putting 12 state constitutional amendments on the ballot. Each of these amendments took at least 3 minutes for an intelligent person to read. This resulted in lines lasting 4, 5, sometimes 6 or more hours for us to exercise our RIGHT as you so aptly put it. Many people, especiall poor and elderly couldn't wait that long. the elderly because of the physical imposition and the poor because, are you ready for this?....they had to go to WORK!! But in your sel-rightgeous snobbery you call them lazy. You're a tool. Yeah, name calling again when I lose an argument, right? But I don't lose this one because I lived it. So easy for you to sit down and put your anger and bigotry on this site. Most poor people are hard working and aren't stupid or lazy. Most rich people are hard working and aren't stupid or lazy.

Usedto, of course you made your statement up, you are confusing your opinion with facts. Why should I accommodate somebody that's too lazy to vote when they're supposed to? It's not as if they don't know when to vote, is it. Voting is a RIGHT, not a law you can control and progressives simply do not like any part of our Bill of Rights because it limits the ability of Govt to dictate every aspect of our lives. So just why is it 'poor people' seem to have such a hard time voting, nobody else does. Oh yeah, I forgot..you can only promise your victims, 'poor people', more freebies on everyone elses dime, you know, the ones who provide all those freebies...the people you can't control but are more than willing to constantly try to steal from because....are you ready...it's not fairrrrrr.

I agree with the editorial that Fulton county does not have a problem with long lines and probably wouldn't if every eligible voter were to show up. If early voting were implemented, it should be up to each individual county with some proper guidelines set up by the state board of elections or by the legislature. It would seem to me that early voting should be limited to no earlier than the saturday before the election/ primary day. Each county could decide which days and hours to have all of its polling places open to avoid confusion as to where to go. I realize one drawback to this is securing the voting machines during the off hours, this would have to be addressed. If counties could opt out entirely, then you could not call it an unfunded state mandate. If some areas are experiencing an overload of voters, perhaps more precincts or machines should be added.

TiredOfTax, for the record, I've never copied and pasted information without having said I was doing it from another source, and I always use quotes. You flat out neglected to say your comment was unoriginal. You're a fraud.

Drugs, Your information about absentee ballots is flawed. Fact from the political calander the primary election is Sept.10 and you can pick up an absentee ballot on Sept.9 and it must be returned on Sept. 10. For the general election on Nov 5 and you pick up an absentee ballot on the 4th of Nov. and return is on Nov 5. So where do you get the idea that it takes so long?

Gosh darn those pesky downstate democrats, trying to pass laws that would encourage voter turnout.. Take a page from the republicans.. pass laws that take away the right to vote from the folks you hate i.e. the poor, minorities, or gays.. See how well it's worked for them thus far? See ya in 2016
