Stewardship impressive

May 8, 2013

Industry and environmental groups do not often see eye-to-eye. But a group of companies in the shale oil and gas industry has decided to take its own step toward improved stewardship....

This basically is what always happens. Our government is not the "expert" on anything until someone gives them an outline on what should be done and what is unacceptable. After they know something a government agency can monitor and develop laws that closely pertain to the business. It is what has happened with every regulated business ever. Now lets talk about Benghazi...

Before we fast forward to Benghazi, under the leadership of GW Bush more than 7,077 Americans (military and/or civilian) were killed and 40,030 wounded by foreign terrorists or fighters either on U.S. soil or “in theater” during military operations. These 47,107 casualties don’t include non-hostile deaths of deployed troops (another 1,050), nor do they include the thousands of cases of PTSD and other long-term after-effects of multiple deployments. Now, let's overlook all the aforementioned and talk about the four unfortunate American deaths in Benghazi....

Hry you two knot heads, what in*****does this editorial have to do with Benghazi. It iw fools like you that will cause the paper to stop allowing us to post our opinions on their editorials becaue you can not stay on the topic. Wake up and grow up, you talkabout thinks like you know more than the people that were involved and the truth is you don't have any idea what happened in Benghazi. I agree that what happened there should not have happened.

So it is still an excuse for failure? As long as the other party has done something wrong there is no need to go ahead and do it right, just point away as Obama has done so very many times? Where was Obamas statement on the 3 girls release? Why the great silence? Is he racist to only comment on crimes that show crimes against black people? I know it was ALL GWB's fault... again and again...

Hill, the one thing your scenario has missing is the cover up. How do you propose to get things going in the right direction when you endorse the lies from this administration on a daily basis. Is that what you teach your kids... do what you want then lie to the authorities and blame someone else. And when all else fails tell them about how your enemies have made mistakes then try to persuade them to believe that they were worse... great honesty and life lessons you endorse.

I am always very wary of ANY program with the word 'sustainable' in it because it is ubiquitous in the UN's agenda 21. What constantly amazes me though, is the is the power and abilities Progressives have bestowed on Pres. Bush. Apparently he has single handedly confounded them for the past 5 years and they keep admitting it by blaming him for their failures. So I ask you Libs, what does it matter??? As I have mentioned before, the structured, single topic forum is located elsewhere on the internet; here we have the freedom to postulate on a variety of subjects. Unfortunately, 'freedom' in is a scary word to Progressives due to their inability to control the message, topic or opinions.

Ron1960: What does your comment have to do with the editorial, king of all knotheads? When you can dictate what anyone else can post you are taking the first step toward censorship. Now put on a clean shirt, its Thursday and Jack is a tough act to follow.

About as silly as conservatives whining on message boards about Obama's inability to wave a magic wand and fix the destrutcion that Bush wrought on the economy.. You don't take any responsibility for anything and conveniently forget everything that happened before Obama took office. Don't forget the reps blocked all meaningful legislation to help fix their mess.. That's why you'll lose in 2016 again..

So you are still using past mistakes as a benchmark for more going forward? I say even if you lie cheat and steal, I am going to continue to be as honest as I expect others to be. There is a huge difference between a disagreement on a topic than there is a huge flat out lie. And as I have tried to suggest in the past, you cannot change past mistakes but you can try to help avoid them going forward. I do not defend prior mistakes only point out that they are not a reason to continue such a practice. And used... I am so very glad that you read what you wanted into my post... as usual it is no where near what was actually said. Comprehension?

gville70, 'topper, and usedto- still defending the lying Muslim huh??? The bottom is about to drop out, the cover up on Bengahzi is being unwrapped and impeachment is next. Hopefully with a trial for treason close behind with Hilary as a co-defendant. Or aren't you seeing this ?? and Barry's biggest defender (next to you guys) swizzer has been quite silent since the hearings started.

druggy: Is it freedom of worship you disdain, or those who choose to pray to a different god. Can you tell the dancer from the dance? You are implying that our great leaders in Washington are driven by a burning desire to do the right thing. In reality the hearings on Benghazi are nothing but a show being staged by a room full of self promoting blowhards on both sides of the aisle. In the end they will amount to about as much as a gnat on a bull's *ss out in Iowa.

Hill, in case you haven't noticed Islam is not an option when you have a Constitution such as ours. The first amendment gives the freedom of (or from) religion. Hoewever the Koran teaches that if you are not Islam then you are an infidel and death to the infidels. Your pal Barry is right(I really hate saying that)just like Bill Clinton was( "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" BUT she had sex with him) in that we are not at war with Islam. BUT it is really hard not to see that they are out to destroy us. Better keep your eyes closed, the covers are coming off this ugly cover up.

The entire Benghazi "investigation" is entirely political. There have been 8 hearings on this already. During Bush's eight years--53 attacks on American embassies--13 killed. Number of investigations--3. Your outrage would be more admirable if it wasn't so selective.

As long as you are so big on history that can't be changed and has no bearing whatsoever on todays PROBLEMS. How many times did the Bush administration blame anything on a low budget film? How many times did anyone in his administration declare "What now does it matter" about anyones death? Do you know that when Bush sent people to war he stopped playing golf because he said that he felt a responsibility to those that were fighting for our country and that he didn't feel it was right for him to have a good time while they were away from family. He never went on a divisive tour across our country angering his opposition as this current president has done numerous times. What show of class has Obama done?

Riddle me this... why is it that this administration did not report Benghazi the way that they were told? Why did they cast blame on a video instead of reporting what the people inside the compound and in the area told them happened? Why deflect reasonable questions directed at the many anomalies between what everyone else said and what the white house fabricated? Why did Obama deny that terrorism was involved? Why hasn't ANYONE been arrested for this crime? Whose side are they on? From here it is very hard to tell!
