Now perhaps the liberals will stop worrying so much about the weapon used and start asking Why, and by Who?

My prayers go out to the victims/survivors and families of those who lost loved ones.

I wondered how long it would take one of you mindless boobs here to make this political...it took exactly one post.

Do you suppose that those in power are rubbing their hands together just chomping at the bit to pass a whole passel of new restrictive laws to control the lawful population and turn a blind eye once again to the true problems facing us? Still rather fight terror at home than abroad? Wake up America this is not the first warning we have had and unless we do something right it will not be the last!

This was a tragedy of which we can likely expect more of in the future. Our borders are not under control. If a Mexican can get across, what stops a terrorist from going to Mexico and coming across. Then we will grant citizenship to those who are illegally here. Time to stop being politically correct. Time to stop pushing our ideals and way of life on other cultures who do not welcome nor want our way of life. Time to keep our noses out of other nations business without invitation to intervene. We are just constantly making more enemies. Get our own house in order. Hopefully Cuomo and Albany will now make BOMBS illegal to help prevent future tragedies. Oh wait bombs are illegal, guess criminals and terrorist don't obey the laws.

Leave it to the not-so-smart Scarecrow, Disco, ToT, TTM, etc., to somehow muster up a weak argument to turn this into an Obama or political issue.

Let's negate the fact that this bomb looks amateur, indicating that it was homegrown and probably one of our own to instead blame Obama.

TiredOfTax, it's 'champing' at the bit. Not 'chomping,' although 'chomping' has somehow made it into the lexicon due to people like you who have continuously misused, misapplied, and of course misspelled it.

Just wanted to clarify that so when you use it in your reporting with the LH you don't look foolish.

RS, it is a political issue most likely or a mental issue. How does one bring their bomb making materials with them?? Or maybe they work with what they can get their hands on, just like the domestic terrorist. Hard to tell until they catch someone. Also why should a group publicly take credit, once they do then we will go after them like Bin Laden.

Taxedtoomuch, you're right it's a mental issue. Someone has to be crazy to want to inflict such harm on another human being. The BPD said it seems not so unlikely this was a domestic terrorist using about $100 worth of material and instructions found on YouTube.

I would asy as far as terrorism in the US goes that we need to pay more or at least as much terrorism to our own and not so much the al Quaeda that's pretty much barely living.

See: Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, Eric Rudolph, Unabomber, the Times Square guy, the marine in Fort Hood, etc.

Maybe as a compensatory move, Republicans will extend tax dollar subsidies and tax credits to all manufacturers of Pressure cookers to help them through this time of dwindling sales due to bad publicity
