Religious fit to serve

March 8, 2013

Too often, deeply religious men and women are branded as unqualified for public service roles helping others, solely because of their faith. They are labeled “too extreme” and rejected out of hand....

usedtolivethere, in your vast knowledge somehow you never heard of RINO? I didn't make it up! Google it and see. Now about the name calling and the age references... you ask my age? You are a funny liberal!

Bob...wow, that was one bizarre post! What am I calling you?? What questions do you want answered?? When did I say you should "tow a party line"?? "Criticism of progressives gets to me"???....I thought I made it clear that I actually like it since that continuous theme to which you constantly refer only erodes your own credibility. "I support the collective"???... just one small question...what exactly is the "collective"??? You really should avoid trying to say what other people support, when you can not clearly articulate your own opinions.

Call me what you want laker, you're still unable to answer any of my questions because your masters never told you how. You seem to think that I'm supposed to tow some party line, no, that's a progressive meme. Rather than constantly criticize, why not try thinking for yourself instead of regurgitating others words and tell us all the virtues of the collective? All those instances you referred to had to do with gov't attempts to control private sector enterprises that you were unable to refute even though you admit my concern was big gov't.. Thanks for bringing it up. It appears that my criticism of progressives gets to you and your friends. So please, stick around, there's much more to come. Want another uncomfortable fact?...I support individualism which needs no defense and you support the collective but can't explain why and you still want a rebuttal?? HA!

So you have names for conservatives that screw up? Like RINO? How about sleezy, or typical narcissist? And I had to drag you kicking and screaming into that feeble admission. I'll play along. Kilpatrick is a DIMO. You are, like me, part of the problem yet you fail to see that, unlike me. Hope I didn't throw a tiepoe in hear for you to feast on. Wat are you, 8 years old?

Now lets talk about former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, once seen as a rising star in Democratic Party politics, was convicted on Monday on two dozen federal charges of corruption and bribery during his seven-year tenure.

Bob ole buddy....You may have reached the height of irony with your line "I've reduced you to only criticizing and complaining that I'm picking on progressives."...when it is YOU who is reduced to progressive rants because you are incapable of offering factual rebuttals. "under my skin"???..huh, on the contrary, I enjoy your off the topic progressive rants, they make the other side look good. This reminds me of a previous post re the absurd oil subsidies, and how you tried to stick up for big oil while criticizing big gov't...when I pointed out the 2 were in bed together, that must have stumped you since the only rebuttal you had was...guess what...another irrelevant progressive rant, having nothing to do with the topic...hey, just trying to help you gain more credibility.

Laker, I'm really, really happy you and your progressive friends don't like my anti-progressive OPINIONS. I've gotten under your progressive skin and I intend to stay there. You cannot insult, intimidate, badger, and most importantly you are unable to defend progressivism. Nobody taught you how. I've reduced you to only criticizing and complaining that I'm picking on progressives. BOO FRIGGIN HOO. I support individualism which puts food on the table and money in my pocket. You support progressivism and the collective which takes food off my table and puts my money in someone else's pocket. You ever wonder why Russia is now a Democracy and not a collective anymore??

Bob..Dave's earlier post addressed the one-sidedness of the editorial, emphasized by his pointing out how extremely critical the conservs were toward Koop re the AIDS epidemic. And he then agrees, as I do, that Koop was admirable. Rather than addressing Dave's comments head on, you simply offer your typical general rant about Progressivism...irrelevant to not only Dave's post, but to the topic in general. Your last line is indeed ironic since it is your progressive rants that are getting old.

Can't you read? Move away! and don't cry about not being able to sell your house. If you truly meant what you say, it wouldn't matter. . You opt out by moving away. Or take a stand. Don't pay your taxes, go to jail, and the rest of the country will "sympathize" with your plight and you might become a national hero. You need some guts to take a stand. All you do is complain. Be a woman and save yourself from the Dictator. Also, please cite where I called anyone a name. didn't happen. Girls isn't a name. It's a descriptive noun.

So used to I am interested in opting out, how do I not pay taxes anymore and not go to prison? I see many questions in your advise maybe you can tell us a lot more on how we can get away from Obama's tyrannical dictatorship?

It appears that you need some of that free national healthcare you care about so much, need a few pills? You cannot discuss anything without name calling? Very mature. At least you should be on the very top of the list that you love to watch so vehemently!

Seriously, you are full of anger, why put yourself through this? You'll never change a thing, yet you stay here. Some definition of stupidity must be in there somewhere. go someplace where you can be happy. Life's too short. My suggestion was to opt out. Your solution was to complain. Mine is more practical. Use it please.
