Oh Rs, Thank you for emulating me by using the sentiment on TOT that I laid on you last week. I'm flattered.

TOT...your posts do a good job of describing yourself. Why was it necessary to tag me in your post? LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!!!!

TiredOfTax, you really aren't in a position of any qualification to 'call out' anyone at all. You wield no authority and aren't really a person people listen to.

rschweizer Grow UP? Really you are the king of the negative back stabbing posts and you want me to grow up? Lets review your post "Architect, you know what's NOT 'unjustied' [sic]?" was just a disclaimer??? A show of intelligence? Why was it necessary to tag anyone in YOUR post. Was it the only way you can make a point? I believe that it is antagonistic. And THAT is why I called you out on it! If you disagree and state why I am going to reply if I do not agree, but until provoked by antagonistic remarks I do not go off on personal attacks. You on the other hand grab every statement and provoke a response. Like your friend usedto... attack without provocation because of the message or the poster.

TiredOfTax, that was not an attack on Architect. Funny how you think people that disagree with you or anyone you agree with are considering to be 'attacking'.

Grow up.

As a town of J resident, I for one am glad we ELECTED a supervisor with some intestinal fortitude to stand up for the town and not just roll over and let the city have at it. King has shown he cannot be trusted, kudos to you ms. MacVean for having the strength to deal with the clowns.

rschweizer, Why would you attack TheArchitect? Do you think that you have to deride others to make your point? And where exactly did you counter any comment made by TheArchitect or this article? Maybe you are on the wrong page or if you want to start a new topic why not start with JEERS: To unprovoked attacks, or something of the like. Or how about JEERS to those that cast the first stones? Maybe it is time to talk on topic, counter talk and leave the poster hate at the cover page.

BalloonExtravaganzas: Are you still sticking a video camera in your supervisors face to harrass her during town board meetings? Too bad your camera wasn't rolling when Lois Lane grabbed her. Those erase function work well on the new cameras, don't they?

Why would retail want to locate in an industrial Park? Every previous annexation has resulted in no compensation (except the two parcels traded for water hookups to the 354 acres behind the new Walmart.) This time the town has an offer to split property taxes for annexed land from both cities. That is not giving away town land for nothing. Annexation is not a dirty word if it gains anywhere from double to 6.38 times more revenue than the current formula in place. No one on the town board is giving away any land for nothing. ***********councilmanbaldwin****/councilman/Revenue_Sharing.html It is a lot more complicated than just saying no. A DOT study states that the 30A traffic will increase 134% due to the new Walmart. That means revenue without population growth.

Architect, you know what's NOT 'unjustied' [sic]? How about not wanting my four-year-olds playing on an old factory mill site, replete with buried chemicals.

Good point "TiredOfTax". This is also problematic with all the recent noise regarding the proposed annexation efforts of Johnstown and Gloversville from the Town of Johnstown. Developing greenspace in the town while there are countless empty factories and lots in both cities is unjustied, other than lining a few of the "friends" of the county leader's pockets. Sprawl without growth (census number verify that the population is not growing) is a costly proposition. If a business wants to move to the area, and this is more than a hope of the local leaders rather than reality, then they can build in the existing business and industrial parks where water and sewer services are available. There is no shortage of available sites.

You people in the Town of Johnstown must make your elected officials know just how much against annexation you are or the existing officials (who are in bed with Dayton King less Supervisor McVean) are going to give town land away for nothing

So our own county government is pleased to be getting increased tax revenues from our very high gasoline prices? While many in the area are still unemployed? The excessive taxation of necessary fuels is yet another slap in our face. Lets do something about our RECORD unemployment both here in Fulton and also in Montgomery county. That would give us something to cheer for! Revenue is great if it is from growth, but not from inflated pricing!

A local politician who does not vote according to their 'emotions' and also does not have an 'agenda'??? How could this happen?? Please say it ain't so. Wait, I forgot...we voted them in office. Never mind.

I fear you have correctly identified Ms. MacVean's motivation for her opposition to the DA's request. Fulton County is very fortunate to have Mrs. Sira in the DA's seat, and needs to do everything possible to support her and her staff. Their work is urgent, important, and critical to the well-being of all county residents.
