Oh busboy, it’s a point to ponder
I went to buy shoes. Sandals to be exact. The weather looked promising and my feet were hot …
As I entered the store, I viewed the display in the Mall window. “Um, um and um” I thought. I eyed a pair with red straps and an earthier pair of Birkenstocks wannabes.
Moving in the store, I picked up my choices.
I could feel the smooth straps. I could see the quality of stitching and view the safety design on the soles.
I could smell the new leather.
A very nice saleswoman waited on me. I chose to try on the red straps.
They were just what I wanted and they felt comfortable but they didn’t look just right. I thanked my attendant and left to try another store.
For lunch that day, I went to a lovely French restaurant in the mall.
As I looked into the restaurant window, I did not see any food to buy.
I went in anyway.

The famous Adirondack Home Vegetable slicer
What is made of wood, 20 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide, 2 1/4 inches deep with six blades and a 5-inch pusher?
Why, it’s the Home Vegetable Slicer, patented Feb. 23, 1898.
Reservations online is a great, easier idea
I spend one hour checking out the restaurants in Albany.
I wanted something different that I had not tried.
Watching ‘Amnesia’ brings back great memories
This new reality-type game show reminds me of the time I was involved in an MTV project called “St. Nick’s Flicks.”
As I remember, I was hired as a V-J (video jockey) to help introduce some Christmas films in the late 1980s.
