F-MAG arts grants announced for 2013

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Arts, which administers the state Council on the Arts’ Fulton-Montgomery Arts Grants program, has announced that $36,776 has been awarded to 12 organizations and artists in Fulton and Montgomery counties for arts and cultural programming in 2013.

The grant recipients are as follows:

– Amsterdam Waterfront Foundation, Riverlink Music Series, $2,500.

- Caroga Historical Association & Museum, New York Players, $2,550.

- City of Amsterdam, Underground Playground/Ellen Sinopoli Co., $4,000.

- Colonial Little Theater, 2013 Theater Series, $3,576.

- Friends of Schoharie Crossing, Not Just for Kids Storytelling Series, $2,000.

- Frothingham Free Library, Gary Van Slyke Music Series, $500.

- Mohawk Valley Chorus, 2013 Music Season, $4,500.

- Canajoharie’s Music on Main Street concerts, $2,350.

- Sacandaga Valley Arts Network, Seasons of Song, $5,000.

- Village of Fort Plain, 2013 Summer Concert Series, $4,100.

- Village of St. Johnsville, Last Night New Year’s Eve Celebration & 2013 Concerts in the Park, $3,700.

- Canajoharie Community Youth Center in partnership with Canajoharie Middle/High School and artist Joshua Winer, Mosaic Mural, $2,000.
