Doonesbury, Day 2
March 13, 2012 - Bill Ackerbauer
Here is today's installment of Doonesbury (look under "Blog Photos," at right), which we are withholding from our print edition this week because we've deemed its subject matter inappropriate for our family-friendly comics page.
I particularly enjoy the Hawthornian "A" on the clipboard in the cartoon. If you don't get that joke-within-a-joke, ask any high school English teacher to explain it to you.
Many newspapers have determined Doonesbury is too political for their comics pages and have either rejected them or moved the strip to their op-ed pages. Where do you think it belongs?
