New Mike Grosshandler disc

March 8, 2012 - Bill Ackerbauer

Mike Grosshandler, an Albany-based singer-songwriter and guitarist with connections to our area, has released a new solo CD.

Titled “Blue Skies Black,” the disc features 12 new original songs by Grosshandler, who is known to local audiences as a member of the Velmas, a band that has played at many Glove Cities venues over the last decade.

In his current band, Above The Flood, his bandmates all hail from Johnstown and Amsterdam. The band will play Friday at Aaron’s Irish Pub in Gloversville. (See "What's to Do" in today's print edition of the Leader for details.)

Drummer Ricky Little of Johnstown is featured as one of several guest musicians on “Blue Skies Black.”
