Fall Beginnings

September 10, 2011 - Curdie Gardner
We love this time of year, but do we know why? I can tell you what I like about this time of year; mostly all the fresh veggies, cool weather, and the

crisp air. Of course I just love the abundance of fresh fruit, crispy apples, pumpkins readily available, the many fall mums around, and of course craft fairs!

So I had my first of the season apple the other day at our Tuesday Farmers Market; I hope you were there and bought some, yummy! Yes, Cashins

Farm has wonderful Macs and more, so don't miss the market on North Perry every Tuesday from 3-6 to get your array of fall goodies! Look for mums

there, from 2 different vendors, to brighten your fall day! Don't forget the pumpkins!

I aw a lot of fall goodies at the Gloversville Farm Market today and to name a few:apple buter, carmel corn, breads, pastries, fruits, and more!

Some come out and get your fall goodies at the next market; that would be on Tuesday, September 13 in Johnstown.

We would love to see you at our other markets, so here is a schedule: Every Saturday in Gloversville-8 to noon you can find the best of the local

produce and more!

Every Wednesday the vendors are in Amsterdam, from 3 to 6, in front of the Sanford Farm barn, across from Walgreens.

Every Friday more vendors are at the Riverfont Mall from 9-1, in the upper parking lot across from the hardware store. So come join in the fall fun

and gather your abundance at the local markets!

Please support your local farmers, as they work very hard to bring you these lovely fall items!

Have a happy day....Market Manager, Curdie Gardner
