Scenes from the Rail Trail

June 2, 2011 - Bill Ackerbauer

Once again, I've started to commute via pedal power, bicycling to and from work on the FJ&G Rail Trail. You can read about my initial inspiration for this mode of transport here, and you can see some of my earlier photos from the trail here.

I took the photos in the slideshow below today and yesterday at various spots along the trail. The slides change pretty quickly, so if you want to read my captions, you might have to use the pause button.

Note these shots are not presented in any particular chronological or geographical order. They were taken all along my regular route: from Fairgrounds Park in Johnstown to South Main Street in Gloversville.

Did you at least look into the brush to make sure there was no body that belonged with those "undergarments"???

How come there are no pink flamingos?

Oh, I know. I know. Was it the "undergarment" photo?

I believe these were all taken in the afternoon except for one. I bet you can guess which image I captured at the "crack" of dawn.

Bill, These are great, and interesting... love the mushroom ones. You either left at the crack of dawn, to get to work on time or it was the trip home.
