I am grateful

March 25, 2011 - Pat Beck
Today’s latest deaths, resulting from Japan’s earthquake, is being reported at over 10,000.

It is estimated that an additional 17,400 are still unaccounted for.

Today, the latest census reported Johnstown’s population is 8,743.

I couldn’t help but visualize that those, tragic, current figures, from Japan reflects the entire city of Johnstown.

Combining those killed and missing that is more than the combined population of Johnstown and Gloversville.

Life is complex, you can have such an overwhelming feeling of sadness, yet be so grateful.

Yeah. We may be taxed to death but we aren't exposed to most of the common types of world wide disasters.
