What is your question?

October 20, 2010 - Pat Beck
Our editorial board will be meeting with Senator Farley and his opponent Susan Savage. I would like to know if you have a specific question that you would like asked. And, please, let's be mature about this.

What would Senator Farley do differently if re-elected than he did for the past 34 years? What have you done for us lately, including when the GOP had majority and gov. pataki was in charge?

Senator Farley, If reelected would you consider revisiting old answers to situations like, Why are there still tolls on the Thruway and what could be done to allow freedom from those tolls; are you willing to propose term limits; would you be willing to look into school district spending, such as The Greater Amsterdam School District's increase of of, from what I'm told, nearly $20 million in the past 10 years, and why does BOCES cost the districts so much and have such control over our local school districts. Thank You.

Mr. Farley, if re-elected, how do plan on changing "business as usual" that you have been a part of for 34 years?

Don't believe I have read that being asked.

To both: When in office what will your stand on legalization of marijuana and if a bill was put in front of you to legalize would you vote yes or no?

What (when elected) concessions or actions would either of them take in attempting to molify/reconcile the so-called 'tea party' faction to promote their return to the political main stream.

We can, and will. Will probably get a "party" answer but will ask. Thank you.

This can be asked of both: If elected or reelected, will you sign the pledge to reform Albany that Mayor Koch is asking all to sign? And what do you think of Speaker Silver's refusal to sign such a pledge?
