Local band releases new CD

September 9, 2010 - Bill Ackerbauer

JOHNSTOWN — RTO, the eclectic rock band led by city residents Alexandra Higgins and Neil Goes, has released a new CD. Titled “Ride or Fly,” the disc features 11 original songs written by Higgins and Goes.
The disc is the second release from the band, formerly known as Road to Oblivion, which now goes by the abbreviation of that name. It will be available on CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) and iTunes as well as through the band’s website, www.roadtooblivion.com.
The album features lead vocals by Higgins, acoustic and electric guitar by Goes and accompaniment by guest musicians Tony Perrino, Don Holland, Sean Mack, Tom Murphy and Tom Lindsay.
The CD cover features artwork by Higgins, who also is a painter, sculptor and interior designer. Other examples of her artwork are on display at SkyHeart Studio in Gloversville, where the band performed Aug. 27.
Higgins says now that their second album is completed, the group is looking forward to doing more live performances around the region.
“We have been working like dogs to finish this CD,” she said.

Here's the YouTube video for the song "Still in Love with You," from RTO's first CD:
