Gotta love live music


I just thought I'd check in today with a couple of musical video clips I shot recently. The first is The Lustre Kings, who were the Music on Main Street act this week in Canajoharie. (Sara Milonovich is up next week with her new band, so don't miss it.) The second (scroll down, por favor) is my buddy Phil Drum performing "Deep Sea Blues" during the Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society event last weekend in Toga Town. Both videos were shot at night, so they're a little on the dim side, but it's the sound that counts. (Stay tuned for more blog entries on these and other performers).

Bill Ackerbauer

Assistant City Editor Johnstown native Bill Ackerbauer began his journalism career in 1996 as a reporter with The Leader-Herald. He later worked as an editor at newspapers in Schenectady, Saratoga Springs and Dover, New Hampshire. He edited the book "Celebrating Johnstown," available Fall 2008 from The Leader-Herald. "Bill's Broadsides" won first place in the 2008 New York State Associated Press writing contest for newspapers in the Leader-Herald's circulation category. Bill teaches writing at Fulton-Montgomery Community College and journalism at the University at Albany. In his spare time, Bill plays folk music on guitar, banjo, fiddle and other traditional instruments. He lives in Johnstown with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Liam and Carter.
