Wilson on the campaign trail

April 6, 2010 - Bill Ackerbauer

Johnstown native and state comptroller candidate Harry Wilson has posted some new campaign videos on YouTube. Here's one of them, from his recent news conference on the steps of city hall in New York City:

For more info about Harry, see Mike Anich's story about him from earlier this year: JHS alum eyes run for state post. The story about Harry, in a nutshell, is that he was the JHS valedictorian in 1989, he went to Harvard, built a successful and lucrative career on Wall Street, and now he's running for comptroller. He's the first person from the Glove Cities to run for such a prominent office in a long time. I think he's a smart guy with good intentions, and his campaign will be worth watching, regardless of his political affiliations (he's a Republican).
