Mean - Meaner and Meanest

I guess mean people don't like being called mean.

Pat, fat load of good this blog did. The mean just got a chance to be mean on being mean! Man, that is just mean!

pbeck.your last three topics have been about your dislikes in life.maybe you should tell your husband or shrink to get them off your chest.on this blog maybe you should voice your opinion on local activities such as why sera doesn't go after breakers of the law or what a waste of time certain council people are.how about what you think of the mayor so far.i guess to have those topics you would have to be here always to read and answer which of course would take you away from your other duties.

To tell you the truth, I feel disappointment with this blog topic. We wait weeks for a witty topic and what do we get? A riming rant about the mean people of the cyber world. If given a choice I would rather see someone spill his load online rather than on the street. It is up to the blogger and the responders to get what they want out of these exchanges.

I must not be one of the "Star bellied Sneetches".

I suppose, if youve never lived anywhere else, you would not be able to see what I see. This system is broken. From the clownish government, to the fraudulent welfare recipient. While I get up to go earn my way, others are encouraged to stay home and apply for "help". What do I have to be bitter about? My home value is stagnant, I doubt I could sell it anyway. But I'll surely bet, I'll get appraised higher. Well thats allright, my wife and I can just get second jobs, to pay those taxes. Meanwhile the renters next door, can stay on welfare and watch TV all day, not picking up their garbage. All the while, with full support from the DSS subsidised landlord. What do I have to be mean about?

this is the same reason gloversville will never be revitalized for the honest hard working few that wish it so-the majority are STINK-STANK-and STUNK.

Gloversville is missing an opportunity here. Why not have a "meanest commenter" contest? The winner would have to have his hard drive washed out with soap.

As someone heavily involved in internet message boards and blogs, I've witnessed exactly what you point out. I constantly reprimand people and remind them that they are not truly anonymous. If they go too far, they can be traced to their computer very easily and held accountable.

I used to read my kids the Adams Family cartoons at bedtime to prepare them for the realities of adulthood.

Agreed... and where did all of the mean spirited people on the roadways come from? How often do you drive down Rt. 30A in Johnstown and have someone slow down or stop so that you can turn into or exit a business? Hardly ever I will tell you.

If you see me, I will always be glad to help out a fellow driver, but most people will hurry up and stop at a red light without giving you the curtousey of letting you enter or exit. Come on people, show a little decorum and sensitivity.
