Music at the Market Fair

Here's a little video that I shot today (June 7, 2008) of some musicians playing at the Market Fair at Johnson Hall in Johnstown. The group is called Liaisons Plaisantes, which I think is French for "Led Zepplin."

I don't know how these folks can endure weather like today's, which was near 90 degrees and jungle-muggy, dressed in scratchy wool outfits -- bonnets and breeches and waistcoats and the whole bit. I'd be too busy sweating and suffering to play music properly.

Just now, as I was looking for the correct spelling of Liasons Plaisantes (it rolls off the tongue, n'cest pas?), I stumbled upon the Friends of Johnson Hall Web site. It looks as if it's still under construction, but I like the design. You can find it at www.friendsofjohnsonhall.org/

The Market Fair continues Sunday, June 8, 2008.
