Another pet peeve

I watched President Obama most recent news conference.

My opinion is that he is easy to listen to, yes, he speaks well.

What wasn’t easy for me to listen to, were the boos heard throughout his speech.

In my opinion, this was not a town hall meeting setting but an arena filled with elected representatives, who should display some level of decorum.

What I continued to observe, was many who acted like bored pre teens, rolling their eyes and pouting when the leader of the country was addressing them and the country. I can only hope that if any of them actually have pre teens that they don’t tolarate this type of behavior.

Yes, the “You Lie” comment bothered me, as well. The individual was called out on it, and apologized.

I was annoyed seeing texting going on.

I also know that this kind of behavior has not just reared its’ ugly head, and that in numerous previous Presidential speeches, there has been eye-rolling, non-attention and general lack of respect.

I have grumbled and complained numerous times when it comes to basic respect.

I have not changed my mind and believe that as a nation we've lost the importance of respecting others, whether they're Presidents we don't agree with or people we drive next to.

i myself like seeing the politicians voice their opinions instead of sitting there like cattle. there was no problem when the media voiced their opinion every day during the election. the media was on the obama bandwagon and drove bush into the ground. well all is well as long as you are speaking politically correct at that time. oh my pet peeve, when my kid leaves a empty milk carton in the fridge.

When the president of the US talks to congress, they do deserve the full attention and respect of OUR elected officials. I remember watching Former president Bush address congress with the camera on Ted Kennedy for a full 30 seconds shaking his head no and drawing his face and rolling his eyes. It was as disgusting as the outburst Liar we just witnessed. Second if the president wanted to mend fences why throw out the I inherited comment at every lecture? Are we that stupid we do not have a memory? Let me be clear, to bring forth good will good will has to be offered.
