Bill's Broadsides

POSTED:Wed, July 22, 2009 @ 11:10AM

Musical errata

I just realized this morning that items we've published both in print and online about Canajoharie's Music on Main Street concert series listed incorrect dates for certain performers. Our listings were based on an "official" brochure that apparently has some of the dates wrong.
For example, the Jesse Lege concert (which was excellent, by the way) was last night (July 21) — not July 14, as was published in the brochure. Here's the correct lineup for Music on Main Street for the rest of the summer, according to www.musiconmainstreet.com:

• July 28 — Fulton Chain Gang: An upstate New York country-rock band.

• Aug. 4 — Notorious: A Boston-based group featuring fiddle and vocal music from American, Celtic, Gypsy, Scandinavian and other folk traditions.

• Aug. 11 — Dyer Switch: A Capital Region bluegrass band.

In other local music news, I'm happy to report that I finally found a copy of the concert schedule at Amsterdam's Riverlink Park. Click the link at right to download the .pdf file. The Riverlink Jamboree planned for Saturday, Aug. 1, sounds like a great lineup, and I might try to catch some of it even though I have two gigs myself that day (shameless plug), in the morning at the Gloversville Farmers Market and in the evening at Stockade Imports in Saratoga Springs.
