A year of broadsiding

February 3, 2009 - Bill Ackerbauer

It just occurred to me that the first anniversary of this blog's founding has come and gone with out the least fanfare. Wow, that year flew right by. I won't bore you with a retrospective, but after 45 seconds of soul-searching reflection, I'd have to say that this post was my favorite to date: Mysterious Pants. Something about that one reminds me of a post I wrote on another blog several years ago, when I was but a wet-behind-the-ears greenhorn in the blogosphere.

The leatherbound, gilt-leaf, printed collector's edition of "Bill's Broadsides, Vol. 1" probably is not coming soon to a bookstore near you, but the whole archive of posts can be accessed here. I highly recommend browsing the list if you suffer from insomnia, or if you're into pink squirrels or just want to see my YouTube clips from that behemoth fire in Johnstown last April.

You might have noticed that, unlike many other blogs, ours here at www.leaderherald.com are only displayed one post at a time (not in a stack in which you can see the latest four or five posts). Readers can always click on the list of recent posts in the lower righthand side of the screen, but that's not terribly convenient. So, in the interest of continuity, I'm going to put a link to the previous item at the end of each of my posts, thusly:
