I really dislike Mondays

I am in limbo. Maybe even in a purgatory between computer heaven and hell. On Monday morning, I was greeted by the results of a processor leaking on the second floor. Apparently sometime on Sunday this had happened and now the newly installed tiles were squishing under each footstep. I thought that was bad enough to start out the week until I went into my office and started my usual routine on my computer. Nothing happened. OK, being the expert that I am not, I tried the only thing that I know and that was to “re-boot”. But that the big smiling face that usually greets me was a huge question mark. With a frantic call to our technical guru, Chad I was then told the bad news…maybe we can save what was on it…maybe not. I have been in a high state of anxiety ever since. It is now Wednesday and I am working off an ibook and visiting my hard drive, in the “computer hospital room each time that I pass, to see if it is still doing whatever Chad said it was suppose to do. It is, but as is said, slower than molasses in January. No, no back-up, but I have solemnly promised the higher power of computer that I will have if I am given a second chance to continue my work relationship with this soul of my existence, I cannot even begin to share the enormous amount of information that is somewhere – out there. OK, one newspaper item. I am not in favor of Caroline Kennedy taking the place of Hillary Clinton, I am definitely not in favor of a woman having to replace a woman – I want the best for our state and area. Certainly hope Governor Paterson doesn’t succumb to political pressure.
