Iraq veteran set to help

A Caroga Lake man returned from active duty in Iraq and was active in the local fire department that same week.
When volunteer firefighter Greg Gage, 24, got back in town from active duty in Iraq May 4, he came to the weekly fire department meeting May 5 and was out fighting a forest fire behind Green Lake May 7. “I was on a 10 month tour of duty in Iraq that got extended four month,” Gage said. “I was in the 177th Cavalry Striker Brigade in the infantry. We were stationed in Anwar Province near Syria and then Baghdad.
