Prison is not a walk in the park

There’s how a holiday is spent at Coxsackie Prison.

Coxsackie Prison, Greene County, had a brunch for Thanksgiving consisting of four to five potato chips, an apple, two sugar cookies; two pieces of salami; two pieces of cheese product; two juices; and bread. Then locked in their cells from after brunch till next morning.

Not allowed to go to prayer, they were locked in their cells to celebrate this holiday isolated, hungry and sad. Coxsackie needs prison reform. This was indeed a punishment for the inmates. It’s hard enough being incarcerated, then boom, no dinner, had to savor lunch meat in a bag.

[I] had to call three different phone numbers to find out what the men had for dinner. I think this is inhuman [and] needs further investigation by the proper people.
