Gloversville DPW crews deserve praise for work done
Kudos to the snow-removal crews of the Gloversville Department of Public Works, for their extraordinary efforts in removing the accumulated snow from the curbs of our business district.
I watched in fascination as they worked last night around 1 a.m., a time when most of the rest of us are sound asleep. They are hardly every seen as they go about their work: snow wraiths in vehicles with yellow lights casting an eerie glow among the darkened streets.
Kudos also to the road crews who have been hard at work repairing the numerous potholes that have developed over a rough winter — and there’s still more snow and ice to come.
We residents of this town are indeed fortunate to have such a first-rate public works department.
To one and all: Well done.
