Thank you to the Boy Scouts for all the food collected
On behalf of the Council of Churches Food Pantry, I want to express sincere gratitude to the Boy Scouts who conducted the Johnstown food drive on Nov. 11. The Boy Scouts collected 1,600 non-perishable food items for the food pantry. The food pantry relies on donations to feed the needy Johnstown families and veterans from all areas. The success of the Boy Scout food drive ensures that local families will have healthy food available when they are in need.
The Council of Churches Food Pantry is located in St. John’s Church, 2 N. Market St., Johnstown. It is open to residents of Johnstown every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 6 p.m.
If you see a Boy Scout, please thank him for the work and dedication that went into making the food drive a success.
