Derby got a lot of help

This is long overdue, and I apologize for the lateness of it. On behalf of the Gloversville Recreation Commission, we would like to thank you for all of the help during the fishing derby.

First, we would like to thank the Boy Scout Troop 51 of Broadalbin along with its leaders. They braved the cold, rainy night to keep watch on the freshly stocked pond. They also stayed throughout the event to help. We also would like to thank Mike Ponticello, Jim Handy and Kaitlyn Thompson for donating their time and help with the registration. Also, Walmart for their donation, Stewart’s Shops for donating breakfast supplies, and Quandt’s for the breakfast sausages. We would like to thank Jim Handy for his monetary donation as well.

A big thank you goes out to the Department of Public Works for getting the park set up and taken down before and after the event; and last, but certainly not least, thank you to the community for their huge show of support.
