John W. Hayes
John W. Hayes, 67, of Fultonville, NY, passed away October 8, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Born July 2, 1951, in Little Falls, NY, he is the son of Caroline E. (Davis) Hayes and the late John L. Hayes.
He is survived by his loving wife whom he married November 5, 2007, Pamela L. (Sandner) Hayes of Fultonville; two stepsons, Eric and Bryon Kadur; a brother, Peter (Paula) Hayes of Queensbury, NY; two sisters, Amy (Sam Hill) Beard of Gloversville and Nanette (Edward) Zink of PA; two step-grandchildren, Jamie McQueen and Antonio Peruzzi; several cousin, nieces, Carrie John and family, and nephews, Patrick Darling, Larry Darling Jr., Christopher Zink and families.
During his lifetime he was a 30 year sheriff’s deputy, he worked for Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in Fonda, retiring in 2002. He was also a director/lifetime member of the Canajoharie Forest Fish and Game Club from 2002 to 2016, a member of the Sprite Club of Dolgeville, member of Mohawk Valley Cat and Coons Club of Fultonville, and a member of St. Johnsville Masonic F & AM Lodge 611.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Johnson. Burial will follow in the family plot of the West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
