Sherri Orlosky

Sherri Lynn [Spraker] Orlosky, age 58, of Johnstown, passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident on Thursday, July 19, 2018.

She was born on February 6, 1960, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Robert Spraker and Jerinne Morse Spraker, who survives.

Sherri was a graduate of Gloversville High School. She then spent most of her career working at the Johnstown Knitting Co. until it closed its doors. She continued her career at St. Mary’s Hospital until she was forced to retire due to an injury.

Sherri was a beautiful spirit. Her friends and family will always remember her ambition and her natural ability to always find the silver lining. Sherri lit up a room with her sense of humor and her infectious smile and laugh. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, motorcycling with her fiance and spending time with her family and friends including her closest cousin and lifelong best friend, Roxanne Cason and her two nephews Kyron and Alex. She was their world as they were hers. She was a true blessing in these boys lives. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not. She will be greatly missed by so many.

In addition to her mother, Jerinne Morse Spraker (Ronald Cook), Sherri is survived by her fiance Joseph Kiuber of Amsterdam; three brothers, John Spraker (Pattie) of Gloversville, Edward Spraker (Cinda) of Bleecker and Robert “Bobby” Spraker (Kathy) of Olean NY; one niece, Jami Spraker (Chris) of Johnstown; three nephews, Jason Spraker, Edward Spraker and Kolby Spraker; several great-nieces and nephews, Kyron Russell, Jaidyn Spraker, Jacob Spraker, Fiona Spraker and Alex Bynoe; goddaughter, Tayler McCue; and several cousins.
