Kirley and Ann Chaplin. She had a brother, James R. Kirley. Joyce lived her early years with her family in Utica, NY. She later moved to Canajoharie, NY in 1943, attended Canajoharie schools and graduated in 1959. She was active in choir, student council and cheerleading. She was one of the leaders for many of the school’s championship teams in the late 50s. She married Larry Horning in 1962, with whom she shared her two children. After some time, she later married her old classmate, Charlie Klump. She and Charlie spent their recent years enjoying life as snow birds, spending the summer months in Canajoharie, NY and the winter months on the stunning shoreline in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was always admired for her hard work in her career in banking and the way she was always there for everybody.

Joyce is survived by her son, Timothy Horning; and daughter, Kelly Riley. Joyce was blessed with her wonderful Kyle Riley (wife Kami), Zachary Riley, and Ryan Horning (wife Kim), all living in Nevada. They made her a very happy “Nonnie.” She also leaves behind her two beautiful great-grandchildren, Kamden and Kiersten Riley, who will miss her eternally. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and so many faithful friends whom she had acquired during her 76 years. She is also survived by her late partner, Louie Miklic, from St. Johnsville, NY, a longtime family friend who stayed by her side until she passed on that Sunday. Her joyous and love-filled spirit will be forever missed and never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in her beloved town , NY in the summer months. Another celebration for her friends in Reno, NV will also be in summer of 2018.
