Rose M. Cellary
Rose M. Cellary, 85, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Wells Nursing Home.
She was born on March 26, 1932, in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Guy Delsignore and Sue Ciacco Delsignore.
Rose was a graduate of Gloversville High School. She worked for J.S. Newberry, Acme Markets and Oneida Market. Mrs. Cellary later worked at Baronet Litho and retired from Conroy Gloves after many years of employment. Rose was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception and the current Holy Trinity Church. While she attended the Immaculate Conception Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society, church choir, Eucharistic Minister and assisted with the church festivals and spaghetti dinners.
Mrs. Cellary is survived by her husband, John Cellary, whom she married on November 1, 1951, at the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church of Gloversville; two sons, Timothy Cellary of Johnstown and Richard (Donna) Cellary of New Jersey; two brothers, Guy (Doris) Delsignore and Bob (Darla) Delsignore, both of Gloversville; one sister, Ursula (Joe) Chiezek of Gloversville; two grandchildren, Heather Cellary and Kristen Cellary; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her brother, Pat Delsignore.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street, Johnstown.
Spring interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
