Raymond Farhart, age 81, a former Gloversville resident, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in Stockton, California, where he had resided for many years.
He was born June 2, 1936, in Gloversville, the son of Joseph and Eveline Khabbaz Farhart. He was a graduate of Gloversville High School where he developed his passion for reading books and writing. He attended College of Troy, John Caroll University of Cleveland, Ohio and Stanford University of Stanford, California.
Raymond is survived by a brother, Maurice M. Farhart of Gloversville; two nieces, Celeste Farhart of Schenectady and Adrienne Farhart-Ward and her husband Scott of Caledonia, NY; and a grandniece, Meghan Ward.
Visitation and Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Holy Spirit will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
