Deborah J. Capron
Deborah J. Capron, 55, of County Highway 110, Broadalbin, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam.
She was born in Amsterdam on June 12, 1962, a daughter of Arthur and Shirley Mussen Capron and was a 1982 graduate of Amsterdam High School. Debbie later graduated from FMCC in 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Broadalbin.
Debbie was employed as a bakery clerk at Price Chopper in Amsterdam. Previously, she was employed as a nurse’s aide at Wilkinson RHCF and Nealon’s Home for Adults in Hagaman. Debbie also worked as a cook at the Kountry Kidz Daycare.
She was a member of several area churches, including Gloversville, Northampton, and Amsterdam United Methodist Churches. Debbie was a lay speaker at these churches.
She was predeceased by her father, Arthur.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Capron, of Broadalbin; a brother, Brian (Lois) Capron of Broadalbin; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved pets, Shawnee and Katie.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (corner of Route 29 and Black Street), Johnstown. A funeral service will be conducted at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Christopher Hamm, officiating. Burial will follow at the Hagaman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brennan Memorial Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
