Alice A. Smith
Alice A. Smith, 89, of Gloversville, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home.
She was born on January 21, 1928, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late John and Eva Ferguson Hoff.
Alice was a homemaker to her husband and family. She was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Gloversville Free Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith loved travelling and cruising.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail A. Crisafulli of Gloversville, Pamela J. Eschler (Charles) of Gloversville and Deborah L. Smith of Chandler, Arizona; four grandchildren, Rebecca A. Walrath (David) of Gloversville, Raymond H. Van Husen (Debra) of Gloversville, Gabrielle L. Sowle (Jeremy) of Galway and Max Insogna of Mayfield; three great-grandchildren, Jonah Walrath, Vann Sowle and Maverick Sowle; several nieces, nephews and one cousin.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond H. Smith, whom she married on December 24, 1947, and who passed on October 26, 2016; her son, Raymond J. Smith; and five siblings, Isabel, Nettie, Liz, John and Albert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Gloversville Free Methodist Church, 1200 County Highway 122, Gloversville.
Visitation for friends and family will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Church.
Interment in Johnstown Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.
