Bruno C. Neri

Bruno C. Neri, age 75, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness with his loving family by his side.

He was born on July 28, 1941, in Amsterdam, a son of the late Charles and Rose Sinatra Neri.

Bruno attended Amsterdam schools. He worked at the Amsterdam Broom Company, Lee Dye, and lastly as a truck driver for St. Johnsbury Trucking in Latham until his retirement. Mr. Neri was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Johnstown. Bruno was an avid member of the Teamsters Union #294. He enjoyed teasing his grandchildren, watching TV, yard work and maintaining his home. Bruno loved his dog, Molly, who was a big part of his everyday life.

Bruno is survived by his loving wife, Pruthenzzia Corsi Neri; four children, Victoria R. Neri, Thomas C. Neri, Joanne M. Neri and Anthony B. Neri; one brother, Benjamin Neri and his wife, Anita; seven grandchildren, Bruno A. Neri, Natalia Neri, Regina Neri, Juliana Neri, Tristan Vaber, Nicholas Vaber and Madison Neri; and one niece, Annamarie Neri (Michael Casadei).

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street, Johnstown.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 20, prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, immediately following the Mass.
