Loretta Crannell, of North Broadalbin, has closed her last chapter of her book on Monday, May 9, 2016.
She was employed for thirty-four years at Mohawk Finishing, formerly of Amsterdam. Loretta was a member of the Northampton United Methodist Church and served on many committees there. She loved her home that she and her husband built, and she loved cooking, sewing, crafts and spending time with her family.
Loretta was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Jimmy, and they shared a love of fishing, hunting and spending time together.
She is survived by her two loving children, Brenda (Don) Dwyer and Ronald (Pat) Crannell, both of Broadalbin; three grandchildren, Caleb Crannell, Emmett and Sadie Dwyer, four step-grandchildren, Brittany Bailey, Carrie Pace, Jessica Brate, and Heather Abraham Dwyer; a sister, Alice (Dick) Hopes; and two sisters-in-law, Linda (Dick) Moynihan and Retha (Dick) Cunningham.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at noon at the Northampton United Methodist Church, 1605 County Highway 110, Broadalbin, with the Rev. Jerry Oliver, officiating. Calling hours will be held at the church from 11 a.m. to noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Robert M. A new chapter will be started in Heaven.
