Gary D. Lott

Mr. Gary D. Lott, age 64, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his home in Gloversville, surrounded by his family.

He was born July 10, 1951, in Cobleskill, the son of the late David and Mary Scrom Lott. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1977 to 1978 and was later employed by Taylor Made Products. He last worked as a computer technician for NERIC BOCES of Albany until his retirement.

Gary enjoyed bowling and fishing in his earlier years and most of all spending time with family. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Zajicek Lott of Gloversville; two children, John D. Lott (Stephanie) of Gloversville and Jessica B. Lott of Schenectady; three brothers and a sister, Kenneth Nethaway (Vicky), David Lott, Marvin Lott (Shari) and Diane Lott, all of Gloversville; six grandchildren, Jaylan Mickus, Madison Lott, Peyton Lott, Kaden Lott, Cameron Lott and Antonio LaPorta. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Ann Black (Bob), Wendy Noel (Bob), Michele LaPorta (Tim) and Jolene Soliman (Arseen).

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by a son, Gary E. Lott; and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Peg Tartaglia.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a memorial service will follow at 4:15 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.

Cremation took place at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady.
