Darlene M. Vose Rossi
Darlene M. Vose Rossi, age 58, of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Albany Medical Center, Albany with her loving family by her side.
She was born on September 14, 1957, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Richard P. Vose and Mary L. Sawyer Vose of Johnstown, who survives.
Darlene was a class of 1975 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was employed for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants including the former Windsor Restaurant, Jackie’s Diner and was currently working at the Village Cafe in Broadalbin. Mrs. Rossi enjoyed traveling, excursions to the casino, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes and salmon fishing. Darlene was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending time observing the beauty of nature. She also enjoyed shopping and manicures with her niece.
In addition to her mother, Darlene is survived by her companion of 35 years James B. Male of Ephratah; brother, Randall T. Vose of Sammonsville; sisters, Terri L. Stoller (Frank) of Johnstown and Lynne M. Webb of Stuart, Florida; special niece, AimeeLynn Ahumada; and nephew, Stephen M. Stoller; nieces, Nikitta Vose, Danielle Farley White, Christina Farley; nephews, Randall R. Vose, Joseph Vose, Kyle Vose, Sean Farley and David Chamberlain; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She is also survived by special close friends that were like family, Jeremy Wilson, Krystle Proctor, Judy Blake, Lisa, Kelly, Amanda, Marti, Julie and Rick Barnholt.
In accordance with Darlene’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Darlene’s family would like to express special thanks to Paul Savage, the Ambulance Service of Fulton County, the St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room team and the kind, compassionate medical team at Albany Medical Center.
