Gloria E. Zukoski
Gloria E. Zukoski, 89, formerly of School Street, Broadalbin and more recently of Petoff Garden Apartments, Gloversville, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare with her family at her side.
She was born in Ballston Spa on February 5, 1926, a daughter of Elmer and Lillian Blanchard Musgrove and was a 1943 graduate of Ballston Spa Central School. Gloria was a lifelong area resident. Upon retirement, she spent winters in Spring Hill, FL.
Mrs. Zukoski was employed at General Foods Inc. in Saratoga Springs and retired in 1985.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Broadalbin and St. Theresa’s Church in Spring Hill. Gloria was a member of the Rosary Society in Spring Hill and enjoyed making rosaries that were sent to prisons and missionaries.
She was married to Joseph Zukoski on November 2, 1974. He died on October 5, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Fran) Smith of Louisville, KY and Kevin (Lori) Clark of Gloversville; a daughter, Sherryle (Frank) Bublak of Ballston Spa; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews,cousins; and her faithful feline companion, Maggie.
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 7 North Street, Broadalbin, with the Rev. Jun Segura officiating. Final burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106, Johnstown.
