Linda M. Stanzel

Mrs. Linda M. Stanzel, age 57, of Gloversville, died Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015, at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville, with her family at her side following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 19, 1958, in Gloversville, the daughter of Richard Bump and the late Jacqueline Rochat Bump. She was a 1977 graduate of Gloversville High School and was later employed at the Fulton County Infirmary (now Fulton Center) for 29 years as a physical therapy transport aide and most recently as an activity aide.

Linda was proud of her beautiful home and was an animal lover.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin R. Stanzel of Gloversville; two children, Lauriena Bump (Marcus DiNitto) of Charlotte, NC and Jeremy L. Stanzel (Lindsey) of Gloversville; her father, Richard Bump (Donna) of Bleecker; a brother, Richard Bump of Caroga Lake; and two granddaughters, Kyleigh Abraham and Lily Neopolitan. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Sharon Bump; mother-in-law, Nancy L. Stanzel; brothers-in-law, Keith Stanzel and Doug Stanzel (Robin); her close cousin, Laurie Priest; several nieces and nephews, as well as her special friends, Debbie Stewart and Theresa Hale; and the Rehab Girls at Fulton Center. Linda was predeceased by her mother, Jacqueline Rochat Bump.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a funeral service will take place at 10:15 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
