George A. ‘Skip’ Phillips

George A. “Skip” Phillips, 75, of Kingsville, TX, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015.

He was born in Amsterdam on November 11, 1940, a son of James A. and Charlotte A. Teller Phillips.

Mr. Phillips served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. He was employed at Wilcox Furniture for forty years, retiring several years ago.

Mr. Phillips was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Judith Rummler; and his in-laws, Pedro and Teresa Montalvo.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Victoria “Vickie” Phillips; a son, James A. Phillips; five daughters, Kimberly Trevino, Theresa (David) Cavazos, Kathleen Jiminez, Michelle Phillips (David Ramos), and Kristina (Esteban) Gomez, all of Kingsville, TX; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a foster child; a brother, Kenneth Phillips of Portland, OR; two sisters, Sandra Bruse of Broadalbin and Edna Sulem of Panama City, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held in Kingsville under the direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, Kingsville, TX.
