Frances Mazzoli, age 67 of Northville and former resident of Edinburg, died Friday November 27, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam following a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 29, 1948. The daughter of the late; Armando and Frances Ingenito Treglia. Throughout the years she was a business owner including New York Industrial in Queens and various gift shops in Northville. She was also a teller and assistant manager of various banks in New York City and Northville.
She spoke fluent Italian and loved to cook and knit.
She was a member and involved in many clubs and organizations including the Sacandaga Senior Living Task Force, SVAN, Sacandaga Seniors, Friends of the Northville Library, Edinburg Historical Society, Northville Red Rooster Seniors Executive Committee.
She was also a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Choir member, Bereavement Committee member, Prayer shawl ministry, Rosary society member, Parish council member and Eucharistic Minister. She was entering to the Lay Postulate to the third order of the Sisters of St. Dominic.
She was predeceased by her husband William Mazzoli on September 29, 2012.
Survivors include her daughter; Maria and her husband Phil Spaeth of Northville and her two loving grandchildren; Emma and Henry Spaeth of Northville.
Friends may call on Tuesday December 1, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Northville at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Clarkville Cemetery, Edinburg.
