Eunice A. Kenyon

Eunice A. Kenyon of Avon Park, FL, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2015, at the Kenilworth Care & Rehab Center in Sebring, FL. Formerly of Johnstown, NY, she had lived in Avon Park for the last 25 years, 22 of those years along with her husband, Robert L. Kenyon. She and Robert were married on September 23, 1950, and enjoyed their life in Florida until his passing on August 25, 2012.

Eunice was born in Amsterdam, NY on June 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Vernon and Mabel LaDue of Fort Johnson, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Mark) Autilio of Johnstown, NY; her brother, Robert (Jenny) LaDue of Glenville, NY; special friends, William Carro and Dot Watson, both of Avon Park, FL; lifelong friends, Gloria Furman of Amsterdam, NY and Emma Wilson of Fonda, NY; special sister-in-law, Carol Bayes of Gloversville, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother. Raymond LaDue.

Eunice was a beautician in her younger days and later worked as a glove maker in various factories in Gloversville, NY. Eunice was an avid reader, loved tending to her gardens, sewing, sharing life stories, and took great pride in caring for her home. She will be remembered for her lovely smile, sparkling blue eyes and stylish attire. Her daughter Sharon would like to extend a special thanks to the fine medical, PT and nursing staff at Kenilworth for the excellent care and compassion they provided to her mother for the last few months of her life as well as to her during her recent visits.

Cremation services are entrusted to the Neptune Society of Florida with final entombment at Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL. Memorial contributions can be made to the Johnstown Public Library, 38 S. Market St., Johnstown, NY 12095 or to the charity of one’s choice.
