∫ Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Artists’ Gallery Exhibit: Fulton County Visitor Center, Routes 29 and 30, Vail Mills. Free and open to the public. Gallery is open weekends.

∫ Kathy Klompas — guest artist: Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Micropolis member artists work on display will include paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry and pottery. The gallery, inside Mohawk Harvest, is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The show will run through June. Opening

Saturday and Sunday

∫ The Fort Klock Historic Restoration will hold its opening weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will feature a blacksmithing competition “Hammer-In.”

Also at the opening, hands-on activities, muster, demonstrations and 1776 beer brewing, bread making, weaving, blacksmithing and more will be demonstrated.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Farmer’s Market

Saturday

∫ The Gloversville Farmer’s Market at the Elm Street Pavilion will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The market runs every Saturday through mid-October. The market is 100 percent producer market

Workshop

Saturday

∫ The North Main Street United Methodist Church, 316 N. Main St., will be holding an Opioid Awareness Workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will feature speakers from the department of drug enforcement and participants can learn about the risks of drug interactions.

The event is free to the public.

5k Run/walk

Saturday

∫ The Johnson Jog 5k run/walk will be held starting at 9 a.m. at the Johnson Hall State Historic Site, 139 Hall Ave.

The 5k will begin with a cannon firing and the path will take runners by some of the best known sites in the city.

To register online to go: www.zippyreg.com, or day of registration will also be available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

The entry fee is $15 for those who pre-registered and $20 on the day of race.

Museum

∫ The Fulton County Museum, 237 Kingsboro Ave. in Gloversville, will be hosting an ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will feature music and a chance to socialize while attendees enjoy ice cream.

The museum will also be open for self-guided tours.

The cost to enter is $5.
