∫ Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Artists’ Gallery Fall Exhibit: Fulton County Visitor Center, Routes 29 and 30, Vail Mills. Free and open to the public. Gallery is open weekends.

∫ Guest artist Marion Kratky: Micropolis Cooperative Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Work also on display includes paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, and pottery. The gallery, located inside Mohawk Harvest is, open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit will run through the end of October.

∫ Eileen Sammons watercolor work: Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., Fonda. Stop at the library during regular business hours to view this display.

∫ 2017 Fall Art Show: The Art of Disguise: Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville. An exhibit of artwork by local and regional artists. Admission is free. The public can view the pieces from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; or from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The show runs to Jan. 10, 2018.

“Peek into the Past” Walking Tour — Johnstown Historical Society fundraiser, 6 p.m. The tour will include the Drumm House, the Colonial Cemetery on Green Street, and the Johnstown Historical Society Museum. Admission: $10 for adults; $5 for students; and free for children under age 6. Tickets can be purchased at the Drumm House on Green Street just prior to the event. Those attending are asked to bring flashlights.

∫ Library hosting St. Mary’s Cancer peer education group: Gloversville Public Library, West Fulton Street, Gloversville, 1:30 p.m. Free informational workshop for adults over age 40. Make two different greeting cards while leaning about health related issues.

∫ The USS Slater presents “Heroes Around Us”: Gloversville Public Library, West Fulton Street, Gloversville, 5:30 p.m. The free program explores the history of destroyer escorts, the USS Slater and the lives of three men who served in the Navy during World War II who are tied in a way to these warships, Frank Slater, Leonard Roy Harmon and Paul Henry Carr.
