Man charged with speeding and DWI

ESPERANCE — Michael R. Nark, 36, of Sloansville was charged by state police on April 10 with speeding in a posted zone and driving while intoxicated.

Speeding, DWI charges filed

MAYFIELD — Stephen G. Lyons. 53, of Northville, was charged by state police on April 10 with speeding in a posted zone, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

Woman arrested on petit larceny charge

GLOVERSVILLE — Kristy J. Woods, 33, of 1781 County Route 5S, Brasher Falls, was charged with petit larceny by city police on April 14 at 2:27 p.m.

Woods was taken into custody following a larceny investigation at the Walmart at 329 Kingsboro Ave. Ext. During the course of investigation, police determined that Woods took store merchandise past all points of sale without paying and without consent of store management.

Woods was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in City Court at a later date.

Traffic stop leads to possession charge

GLOVERSVILLE — Steve L. Pierce, 58, of 7 Allen St., was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by city police on Monday at 10:40 p.m.

Pierce was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Prospect Avenue when he was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of narcotics.

Pierce was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in City Court at a later date.
