Woman charged with obstruction

JOHNSTOWN — Rebecca L. Hall, 38, of 207 S. Perry St., was charged by city police at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 5 with obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor.

Police said she was charged on South Perry Street while on a vehicle stop. Police said Hall kept officers from attempting to perform field sobriety tests on the driver of a vehicle she was a passenger in, after being told numerous times to stay in the vehicle.

Hall will appear later in City Court.

Woman arrest on active bench warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Mariah J. Kirk, 22, of 105 Glenwood Ave., was arrested by city police at 7:27 p.m. Jan. 4 on a warrant.

Police said she was arrested at the police station on a valid bench warrant out of City Court.

Kirk was arraigned and released to reappear Jan. 15 in that court.

Man allegedly made verbal threat

JOHNSTOWN — James B. Kirton, 27, of 211 W. State St., was charged by city police at 9 a.m. Jan. 4 with second-degree harassment, a violation.

Police said he was arrested at his residence after making a verbal threat involving a firearm to a female victim.

He will appear later in City Court.

Police: Traffic stop leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN — Matthew P. Chest, 35, of 19 N. Melcher St., was charged by city police at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 3 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and inadequate tail lights, a violation.

Police said he was charged on South Comrie Avenue after a vehicle stop.

Chest will appear later in City Court.

Man charged with having marijuana

PALATINE BRIDGE — Jeffrey S. Conkling, 20, of Palatine Bridge was charged by state police on Jan. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

First-degree sexual abuse charged

MAYFIELD — Owen P. Jensen, 66, of Mayfield was charged by state police on Jan. 3 with first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony for an incident which occurred in Wells on Jan. 2. Jensen was arraigned and remanded to Fulton County Correctional facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
