Man arrested for attempted assault

NELLISTON — Joshua J. Ryan was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday for third-degree attempted assault.

Deputies responded to 8 Nellis St., Nelliston for a report of Ryan allegedly punching a female victim in the face. Ryan was arraigned on the Town of Mohawk Court and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail and $5,000 bail bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Palatine Court at a later date.

Two charged with disorderly conduct

PALATINE BRIDGE — Wane Darling, 43, and Shawn Holmes, 49, of 93 E Grand St., Budget Inn Palatine Bridge were charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for disorderly conduct.

Both Darling and Holmes were charged following a physical fight outside the Budget Inn. They were released and scheduled to appear in Palatine Court on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Local man cited for unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Victor L. Edwards Jr., 35, of 132 Oakland Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 6:31 p.m. Sept. 1 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and tinted windows, a violation.

Police said he was charged on West Street after a vehicle stop.

He will appear later in City Court.

Charge: possession of controlled substance

JOHNSTOWN — Chelsey A. Small, 18, of 7 Clyde St., Fort Plain, was charged by city police at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 30 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Police said she was charged on East Madison Avenue after a vehicle stop. Police said that after an investigation, officers located a glass pipe used for smoking crack cocaine in the vehicle Small was in. The pipe allegedly had residue that tested positive for the drug, police said.

She will appear later in City Court.

Local woman picked up on bench warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Cheyanne C. Rivenberg, 30, of 24 N. Hollywood Ave., Gloversville, was arrested by city police at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 31 on a warrant.

Police said she was arrested on a valid bench warrant out of City Court.

Rivenberg was held for arraignment in City Court.

Unlicensed operation charge leveled

JOHNSTOWN — Joshua G. Loucks, 36, of 205 W. Third Ave., was charged by city police at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 30 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and no plate displayed, a violation.

Police said he was charged on Washington Street after a vehicle stop.

He will appear later in City Court.
