Failure to appear leads to warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Nicole L. Lake, 34, of 15 James St., was taken into custody by city police on an active bench warrant on Thursday at 8:41 a.m.

Officers located Lake at her residence where she was taken into custody on an active bench warrant issued out of City Court by Judge Traci DiMezza for failure to appear on traffic violations.

Lake was transported to the station where she was processed and held for arraignment.

Vehicle stop leads to marijuana charge

JOHNSTOWN — Taylor A. Marotta, 22, of 400 Prospect St., was charged by city police at 11:55 a.m. Aug. 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police said the suspect was charged on Townsend Avenue after a vehicle stop.

Marotta will appear later in City Court.

Driver charged with leaving accident

JOHNSTOWN — Kelly J. McKanobb, 38, of 25 Yost St., was charged by city police at 7:36 p.m. Aug. 15 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and leaving the scene of a property damage accident and unlicensed driver, both violations.

Police said she was arrested on East Main Street. Police said McKanobb’s vehicle struck a vehicle and she left the scene. Police said she and her vehicle were located in the Stewart’s parking lot. She failed sobriety tests, police said.

She will appear later in City Court.

Bad headlights leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Michael A. Corlew, 24, of 109 Johansen Drive, Sprakers, was charged by city police at 9:46 p.m. Aug. 21 with misdemeanor third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate headlamp, a violation.

Police said he was charged after a vehicle stop on North Comrie Avenue.

Corlew will appear later in City Court.

Harassing phone calls leads to charge

JOHNSTOWN — Matthew S. Luzinas, 35, of 4223 1/2 Route 30, Amsterdam, was charged by city police at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.

Police said he was arrested for an offense at 7:04 a.m. Aug. 18. Police said Luzinas allegedly called his victim numerous times for no reason.

He will appear later in City Court.

Warrant results in woman’s arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Kara L. Mykel, 32, of 294 McGregor Road, was arrested by city police at 8:48 a.m. Aug. 28 on a warrant.

Police said she was arrested for having a valid bench warrant out of City Court.

She was arraigned and released to reappear later in that court.

Search warrant leads to drug arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Antoine Derrall Clark, 39, of 295 N. Main St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 with one felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Clark was arrested after detectives assisted Amsterdam police with a search warrant of the Super 8 Motel. A total of 23.9 grams of cocaine, as well as a large amount of currency, was discovered in the motel room, police said.

Clark was arraigned in City Court and will appear later.
